‘My time at Famington Farm with Imogen has been incredibly enjoyable, refreshing, and enriching. Coming from busy London to the calm and peaceful English countryside immediately set the mood for the coming days. Having a flexible schedule and the time we needed, we were able to delve deeply into the repertoire during one-to-one sessions. Exploring different works under the guidance of someone as experienced as Imogen has been especially rewarding. Moreover, having lunch and dinner together, beautifully prepared by our host, David, always created opportunities for discussions about music, among other diverse topics. It was always interesting to hear Imogen’s opinions and experiences, as she’s an amazingly well-rounded artist. I particularly enjoyed listening to the Goldberg Variations after dinner, and then all together discussing the pianist’s interpretation choices.
The whole experience has been more than inspiring, I am very happy to have had the chance to be a part of it. Thank you to Imogen and the ICMT team, our host David, and my companion Giulia!’
