‘It is difficult for me to sum up all the valuable experiences and insights I received from working with Imogen Cooper last May. First of all, being able to work with such an admired and friendly pianist over countless hours and always searching beyond the music was an absolutely enriching experience both as a person and a musician. If I had to choose one aspect from the week I spent working with her, it would be the mind-opening impact these sessions had on me. Over all my lessons with Imogen, I had the feeling that it was not about achieving a particular sound or approaching the repertoire in a specific way, but to try to discover yourself through the music and learn to make yourself ask those questions which are interesting in order to continue growing as an artist. On the other hand, I have to say that without the relaxed and collaborative environment that surrounded those sessions, the week would not have been as inspiring and fruitful as it was.’
